Stony River

The first time Hubby and I drove over this bridge, we had a giggle when we both said, "Gee, I wonder how that river got it's name!"

This is a one-person suspension bridge which is part of the Stony River Walkway. Unfortunately, the walkway was closed due to all the rainfall of late.

Love the second shot with the stones trying to take over the river! The blue is so intense, it looks like it was a lovely day for walking.

That's a nice bridge--we have a few pedestrian bridges over creeks around here but not one as well maintained as that one.

Lovely scenery, so beautiful and natural. Great pics, looks like you don't need all those other settings. Carla

And then the politicians came and sat in stony silence, pondering on an appropriate name for the river. Along came a farmer who jovially asked "what are you guys doing by the stony river?" Problem solved.
